Bicester Village is the UK’s premier luxury discount shopping destination.
Watchfinder is partnering with Value Retail, owner and operator of Bicester Village in Oxfordshire, to open its first store in November.
The goal is to open in time for Black Friday, November 25 of this year.
It will be the first major used luxury replica watch outlet in the outdoor shopping centre, which is home to more than 160 luxury fashion, lifestyle, beauty and homeware stores, including Gucci, Paul Smith and Alexander McQueen.
“It’s a completely new setup for us. In any of these concepts, pre-sales don’t operate at scale. It is new. Our goal is to grow by partnering with one of the strongest players in the market,” said Arjen van de Vall, CEO of Watchfinder.
“We have big ambitions and expectations, the demand is there, and we can create a very high-quality experience,” he adds.
Bicester Village is known as a retail destination, attracting busloads of affluent shoppers, often from overseas markets such as China.
These shoppers will see a rich selection of pre-owned watches.
“It’s going to be a mix. Some brands may have more volume, such as TAG Heuer, but fake Rolex and the entire steel movement selection will have very strong coverage. Our audience will tell us what they are interested in. The Village is new to us, so we need to learn quickly, and that’s what we plan to do.
Week-long Rolex Daytona auction shows demand for the iconic chronograph remains strong
A week-long online auction dedicated to the replica Rolex Daytona has concluded, with sales prices indicating that the secondary market for this iconic chronograph is stabilizing.
Since its launch in March 2021, the Watch Collecting auction platform has sold nearly 100 Rolex Daytona.
Prices across the secondary market peaked around March, with Subdial reporting sales averaging £33,450 for the Ref. 116500LN steel Daytona with ceramic bezel.
After Rolex raised the price from £11,600 on September 1, the watch retailed for £12,150.

Watch Collecting’s sales price archive reflects this, with the highest price for the same model coming in May, when an unworn 2021 model with box and papers sold for £32,500 plus a 6% buyer’s premium.
Watch week-long Copy Rolex Daytonas specialist auction featured 12 different models, including a pale blue dial in platinum with diamond hour markers, which sold for £98,000.
A 2022 steel and ceramic 116500 Panda sold for £27,500, 15% less than its May counterpart.

This, coupled with the devaluation of the pound against the Swiss franc, has driven up import prices; the devaluation against the dollar has created a price differential between major markets, making it cheaper to buy in that country compared to the US or any other country whose currency is pegged to or tracks the dollar, including oil-rich Middle Eastern countries.
If the UK government reinstates the instant VAT rebates that non-EU shoppers used to get, we could have a flood of high-spending tourists snapping up bargains in the summer because of the weakening pound.
Conversely, I’ve been crunching some numbers on the narrowing gap between replica Rolex prices at authorized dealers and on the secondary market.
I’ve reported extensively on the sharp drop in prices on the secondary market for Rolex’s most popular steel cool replica watches as well as AP and Patek Philippe watches since the first quarter.
That trend continues, with data from used watch specialist Subdial showing that Rolex prices have dropped 2.8% in the last 30 days, meaning the difference between retail and market prices has been shrinking.
According to Subdial, secondary market prices are down to £10,743 today, compared to £8,450 at authorized dealers, a difference of just £2,293. This gap could disappear if Subdial’s prices are on the high side.
The same is true for Patek Philippe prices, whose spokesperson confirmed to us today that retail prices in the UK and EU were raised by about 5% on September 1.
These price drops are a sign that sanity is returning to the secondary market and that many speculators who have been bullying authorized dealer salespeople might as well find something better to do.
It’s great for watch enthusiasts if their clone Rolex or Patek Philippe purchases retain their value or rise slowly over time. Still, the recent shortage and speculation have created a more unpleasant atmosphere around these brands and their retailers.
A re-balancing is long overdue, and I hope the market can find a happy balance that rewards watch lovers, not speculators.

If you’re fairly new to Rolex, chances are you haven’t heard Turn-O-Graph. Like many Rolex icons, the Turn-O-Graph made its debut in the 1950s-1953, the same year that both the Explorer and Submariner were released.
Contrary to what many believe, the Turn-O-Graph was the first replica Rolex serialized product with a rotatable bezel. This groundbreaking element was later applied to the company’s diving and travel watches.
The following year, it received a major redesign to distinguish it from the hugely popular Diver. It dropped the Turn-O-Graph name, was incorporated into the Datejust collection, had a Cyclops-covered window at three o’clock, and changed the bezel to embossed metal rather than engraved aluminum.
As Rolex often does, the main reason for releasing a new iteration of the watch is to introduce a new movement, while most of the design and aesthetic details remain unchanged. The watch was also released with a few changes, with the ref. 16263 is one of the most popular choices with its typical two-tone visuals.
As for the ref. 16263, the case is made of stainless steel, but the bezel, winding crown, and central bracelet links are forged from gold, giving us a very characteristic combination of tones that copy Rolex calls Rolesor.
This combination of metals was first used in the Datejust collection, where many of the brand’s experiments were carried out, and has since been used extensively throughout the catalog.
The bezel is also particularly distinctive because it has been given the so-called engine-turned treatment. Alternatively, Rolex has discontinued this practice. The engraved bezel is surrounded by a series of decorative grooves, with markers and numerals every five and ten minutes on the Turn-O-Graph.
The Turn-O-Graph ref. 1626X succeeds the very short-lived ref. 1625X series and originated in 1977 to introduce a new movement.
This engine was the legendary Cal. 3135, a movement that would become the longest-serving and most widely used of all modern fake Rolex mechanisms. Incredibly, it is still powering the current fleet of Submariners some 30 years after its introduction.
Since the Turn-O-Graph occupies a niche in the Datejust collection, it was not issued with the exhaustive selection of different dial colors that the regular collection has.
Strangely enough, only the first and last generation models have Turn-O-Graph on their dials. All models in between, including ref. 16263 included omitting this lettering in favor of just Datejust, and the text “Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified” at the bottom.
Finally, the ref. 1626XX collection is the introduction of the sapphire crystal, replacing the previous acrylic overlay.
The ref. 16263 is a relatively unusual and obscure watch. Even so, it has an important place in the Rolex story; arguably, it was one of the first collections made by the brand to be used for a specific purpose, not just to tell time.
Its modest and unassuming reputation makes it an attractive find for vintage enthusiasts and those looking for something unusual.

There are many reasons to buy a pre-owned Rolex instead of a new Rolex. First, you can find all models currently in production and sold out at retailers. While you will almost certainly have to pay a premium to skip the line and get one today, many believe that the instant availability is well worth the extra cost.
In addition, not only will you have access to all currently produced models, but you can also choose from all discontinued and vintage models in the replica Rolex archives. Remember that Rolex only sells brand new watches at its authorized retailers and boutiques, so if you want an older model or a vintage Rolex reference for a huge collector, the secondary market will be your only option.
It is also important to note that the cheapest Rolex watches will be found on the pre-owned market. At retail, the cheapest Rolex models cost at least $5,000 to $6,000, but when it comes to pre-owned fake Rolex watches, older discontinued models cost about half that. If you’re on a budget, the used market is easily your best bet, as it will offer the most comprehensive selection and the lowest prices.
Finally, a used watch does not mean it will be old and beaten up. In many cases, you will find completely unworn Rolex watches on the second-hand market that their original owners sold because they knew they could make a considerable profit by selling them to a used dealer. For example, if you are lucky enough to get a stainless steel copy Rolex Daytona at retail price, you can turn around immediately, sell it, and make more than double the profit in the process. In addition, watches can always be restored and repaired, so many previously vintage watches have been fully restored to their original factory specifications before being sold on the used market.

The first number shows you the Rolex model or which collection it belongs to. For example, a luxury Obsidian model, often worn by the rich and famous in the movies, would start with 182. The first part determines the total length of the reference number. Earlier watches used only two digits to describe the model, size, and movement type, resulting in a four-digit reference number. More recently, the first part of the reference number has been expanded to four digits, making the total length of the reference number six digits.
For more than a decade (since 2009), Rolex serial numbers have been generated entirely at random. While Rolex dealers can tell from the serial number which year your watch was made, owners can no longer tell from the serial number alone.
There is an interesting historical exception to the idea that the serial number is a unique identifier. In 1954, Rolex ran out of serial numbers! Until then, the watches counted serial numbers (watch with serial number 7500 followed by watches with 750001). When they reached 999999, they started counting again from 010000. For this reason, two old Rolex watches may have the same serial number.
In addition to the two numbers on the face, Rolex watches also have a code on the back of the clasp, known as the clasp code or bracelet code. Indicates the year and month in which we created the clip. It is not unusual for the year of the clasp to be different from the year of the watch, so don’t worry if you find this.
